Newbie from the Convict colony
Hey guys new to this forum.Usually on my local one over here in Oz.Thought id say hi and pick some brains for info on a Raleigh R11XL i was recently given.Use to race one as a kid amongst other brands and always wanted to rebuild another 1.Got it complete minus wheels and rear caliper. Can i still get stickers for it?From what i can work out they are called Rampars over there.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Gary

Thanks for the welcome mate.finding the decals will be the hard part as they are called a Raleigh over here and not Rampar.

Welcome in Gazzz.

Just make sure you get the decals off as close a possible in one piece and you shouldn't have much trouble getting them reproduced. Bmxman.com or Del over here might even have them already done, if not they can usually work from a scan of your own ones.

Welcome in matey. It's always nice to hear from someone over the sea spreading the raleigh love.
Getting the decals off these is almost impossible. They are cut vinyl, to the shape of the letters and stretch as soon as you try. Drop Del a pm on radbmx uk . He did mine and i am sure he could repro the word raleigh in the same font.
As far as i know they were only released in the US and AUS . So the one's you see over here known as rampar have all come from the US. (RAMPAR = Raleigh AMerican PARts) Even in the US from around late 79 onward the rampar acronym was dropped and they were also known as raleigh just as in AUS
Here's a link to information the site has about your bike.

That BITD pic is well cool. If you want scan's to take to your decal guy lmk i can send you one's from a US rampar R11 XL and he could ammend them for you. Just out of interest what does it say on the seat tube decal?
On the rampar it say's underneath the R raleigh USA.
