I'm having a bash at polishing my stem *ahem* at the moment. I have power sanded all the parts with 240 grit, then hand sanded with 600 and 1200.

I'm just about at the polishing stage but I decided to give it all a quick rub down with autosol first to get rid of some of the "swirl marks" that hadn't sanded out properly. Now it's looking real nice! I can't wait to give it all a real polishing tomorrow.
