Hi im mark from good old somerset!
I never had a burner years ago but i had a griffter! (bought from crewkerne bike shop)
I recently bought a mk2 burner just to chuck in the back of the car for camping weekends & playing around on, so had no plans to restore it.
But that didnt last long, got the bike home tuesday night & now the bike is fully striped down & under going a full restoration back to original!!
Cheers Mark

Hello everyone!!!
Good evening all and may i say what a great site!

I am 40, from the North West and other than my family other intrests are playing a bit of rugby and restoring our family home.

Well I had a Mk2 Super Tuff Burner in my teens following owing a Grifter and a Tomahawk before that. The other two went to the great cycle heaven but I am pleased to say that tucked away in the garage is the Burner... only thing that’s not original is the front tyre and the removal of the reflectors!
Trouble is with a young family and a house to restore i don’t have the time to restore the burner, so can anyone point me to somewhere reputable that I can get this done? Can the gold paint be replicated as it was when it left the factory???

Obviously if I need to post this question elsewhere then please let me know, other than that I am off now to look at the rest of the site!

NWdave, all the work can be done but costs good money if the chrome need re-done.

Butsbikeshop can do most of the jobs.

Lucky escape losing the big dirty Gri fter

Welcome in and enjoy

I understood it... it must be an age thing!

So what is a fully restored ST2 woth these days? I got offered £50 for mine in its current condition...which to be fair, just needs cosmetic attention...i had a feeling that my chain was being pulled..!!!
Not too fussed as i wont part company with it nor will i get rid of my lego tech set (the go cart one) or my lima train set... ahhh memories!!!!
